Home Safely

This final post of the blog is to let everyone who's been praying for us know we're home safely! Our trip home Saturday was long, but good. We started out promptly at 8am after breakfast at Jai Bungalow. The trip progressed well - it was bumpy, but went OK, with rest stops for lunch and snacks. It wasn't until we got near Bangkok that the trip got interesting. Traffic coming into town was just incredible - we were two hours out without traffic at about 5pm and then hit it full force. Even a dinner stop didn't give it time to thin out. Then, after dark, just to make matters worse, it started pouring rain!! And it was coming into the bus!! Several of us had little waterfalls in our seats and tried, mostly in vain, to plug the holes. Thankfully the rain didn't last long, so we were damp but OK. Eventually some guys, like poor Micah, ended up on the floor to avoid the wet seats.

We finally arrived after 11pm on soi 8 - the bus drivers didn't want to try and get back to the ECB soi 8 parking lot again so dropped us off on the soi. Everyone got out of there pretty quickly, and we were home before 1am. Just in time to get up for the Easter sunrise service (I'm told many really did get there for that service).

So again, thank you to all who participated in the camp - I know we made a difference for those kids. And to all who prayed - thank you. We could not have done this without your support.
